Jack Hoder and Harry Browne both grew up in Rhode Island, went to college at URI and worked on Block Island for several summers. We became close friends during college, being roommates for two years while also playing club rugby together. We spent our summers on Block Island as seasonal workers at local restaurants and bars. After the summer of 2023 we decided to start our own business selling delicious Hawaiian Inspired Shave Ice. As co-owners of Shave Ice Shack we try our best to spread joy and positivity through a business that we can call our own.
